COMPANO 100 V2.40 Available

April 20, 2023

COMPANO 100 is our universal, battery-powered, easy-to-use solution for all kinds of basic testing tasks in electrical power systems. Due to the intensive cooperation with our customers, new wishes regarding testing possibilities arise continuously. Wherever possible, we integrate these wishes into the COMPANO 100 software to support our customers even better in solving their tasks.

The software update for COMPANO 100 to version 2.40 is available as free download in the Customer Portal and brings the following new features:

  • Smooth ramps
The new ramp type Smooth ramp allows you to create a continuous gradient ramp. It can be used, for example, to test dI/dt (DC protection) or df/dt (single phase ROCOF) protection functions.
  • Calculated Measurement: Rs, Cs
With the new calculated measurement type Rs, Cs you can calculate the series resistance of a capacitance.
  • Calculated Measurement: Cs, tan δ
This calculated measurement works like Rs, Cs but calculates the dissipation factor directly. Using four wires, this measurement can be used to roughly estimate the dissipation factor of a capacitor and compare it with the type plate.
  • Calculated Measurement: |Z|, |S|
This calculated measurement can be used, for example, to measure the burden of a current transformer as impedance and apparent power, and display both simultaneously.
  • Software update from the user interface
Starting with version 2.40, software updates can now be performed directly from the user interface of COMPANO 100.
  • Improved start-up time
Starting with version 2.40, certain parts of the user interface are only loaded on demand, when they are used for the first time. This significantly reduces the start-up time of COMPANO 100.
  • Excel File Loader
Version 2.40 of the COMPANO Excel File Loader supports the new ramp type and calculated measurements.
