DANEO 400 Software Version 4.40 available

August 20, 2024

DANEO 400 is a hybrid measurement system that can record and analyze conventional signals (voltages, currents, hard-wired binary status signals) as well as the messages in the substation communication network.

With software version V4.40, new features and improvements have been implemented in the DANEO Control software. The most important of these are:

Sampled Values Timing Analysis
The new Sampled Values Timing Analysis feature provides a histogram view of recorded Sampled Value packets. It offers detailed statistics about packet intervals and Sampled Values stream delays and includes a reporting function.

Network Redundancy Check Feature
The new Network Redundancy Check feature makes it easy to verify and compare all IEC 61850 GOOSE and Sampled Values signals in redundant network architectures such as PRP or HSR. It automatically verifies that all signals are present in both PRP LANs or in both directions in HSR rings and compares the raw network traffic load.

Usability improvements

  • DANEO Control now offers a quick function to clear all device inputs and phase system configuration when not in use.
  • In addition, the Observation tab now includes recording controls to start and stop recording and arm trigger conditions directly from the live observation view.
  •

Bug fixes

  • Long signal names in Comtrade exports can now be handled
  • Out of range signal value errors during Comtrade exports fixed
  • Functional naming in SCL engineering files is now supported during the SCL import
  • Logical device names starting with underscore can now be imported from SCL files
  •
