Measuring the Impedance on Double-Circuit Lines With the Parallel Circuit in Operation

March 1, 2019

Measuring the impedance of double-circuit lines has, in the past, always necessitated switching off both circuits. This state is seldom possible on operational grounds, for which reason at the last user meeting a procedure was proposed which theoretically allows a measurement to be made while only switching off one system. The meas-urement procedure has since been verified by a field measurement. This article deals with the results of this measurement.
