PD diagnostics in gas-insulated switchgears with the UHF 800 (with examination)
Enhance your knowledge on partial discharge testing on GIS using UHF method. Become familiar with advance software features of the UHF 800 system. Learn how to identify fault types and sensitivity verification as per CIGRE to assess the condition of your assets. Get to know advanced testing techniques in hands-on sessions on special training equipment.
Objectives
- Enhancing your knowledge on partial discharge on GIS using UHF method
- Performing measurements to determine the insulation condition and identify fault types
- Learn sensitivity verification as per CIGRE
Content
- Understanding the physics behind partial discharges
- Getting to know the advanced diagnostic features of the UHF 800 system
- Performing partial discharge tests according to IEC 60270 and IEC standard and CIGRE of the test object
- Non-conventional measurement techniques (e.g. UHF antenna)
- Connecting the UHF 800 to GIS
- Performing real partial discharge hands-on sessions on actual GIS with UHF sensor (if available on-site including HV source)
- Interpreting partial discharge test results
- Classifying partial discharge types and determine the risk for the test objects
Certification
- Trainees who successfully pass the exam at the conclusion of the training will receive a specialized certificate approved by SEC-CSD.
- In the event of failure, individuals will have the opportunity to retake the exam as per the designated schedule.
- If a trainee fails for a second time, they will be issued a regular certificate.
