OMICRON continues strong growth

April 29, 2026

The OMICRON Group, based in Klaus, looks back on a successful financial year 2025: With total revenue of EUR 333 million, the company achieved growth of 26 percent compared to the previous year. This development highlights the increasing global demand for solutions that ensure a secure and reliable power supply.

With this strong increase, OMICRON continues its growth trajectory and strengthens its position as a leading provider of testing and diagnostic solutions for energy systems. “The energy sector is changing worldwide. The expansion of renewable energy and the increasing digitalization of the sector, and new technologies such as AI-driven applications and data centers, as well as the higher demand for grid stability make reliable and intelligent testing and diagnostic solutions more important than ever,” says Ahmed El-Hamaky from OMICRON’s sales team.

Product innovations meet strong demand

With the energy transition, increasing digitalization, and the expansion of power infrastructure, grid operators are facing growing challenges – further intensified by a shortage of skilled workers and rising cyber risks. At the same time, requirements for a secure and reliable power supply continue to increase. Testing and diagnostic solutions ensure that systems operate reliably and that faults are detected at an early stage. Accordingly, there is strong interest in OMICRON’s latest product developments. The CMC 500 enables highly efficient testing in complex grid environments. With the CPX 200, the company has introduced a flexible solution for applications in medium- and high-voltage systems. “With the CPX 200, we have rethought testing technology: powerful, flexible, and consistently designed for use in the field. The system combines capabilities that previously required significantly more effort and complexity,” explains Michael Rädler, Product Manager at OMICRON.

Investments in growth and infrastructure

OMICRON has also continued to grow its workforce: The company currently employs around 1,400 people worldwide (December 2024: 1,300). The energy sector is considered highly future-proof, and OMICRON is primarily seeking specialists in electrical engineering and software development. “We are investing specifically in the development of young talent as well as in attracting qualified professionals from both local and international markets. This ensures that we will continue to have the capabilities needed for sustainable growth and innovation,” says Doris Fisar from OMICRON’s Human Resources team. At the same time, OMICRON continues to expand its infrastructure both regionally and internationally. A new office building was constructed in Stafford (UK), and further expansions took place in Australia, Bahrain, Hong Kong, and Mexico. A new location in Abu Dhabi (UAE) strengthens the company’s presence in the Middle East. OMICRON is also investing in Vorarlberg: in Röthis, additional space for future growth was secured through the acquisition of the Interpark Focus 38 and 40 buildings. In Rankweil, the new company building for b2 electronics – a company within the OMICRON Group specializing in testing and diagnostic systems for power cables – is in the final construction phase, with completion scheduled for 2027.
