MPC1

Each MPD 800 or UHF 800 PD measurement device is connected to one RBP1 re-chargeable external battery, allowing PD measurements up to 16 hours. Adding external batteries extends the testing period up to two days. The MPC1 case can contain, for example, one OMICRON MPD 800 or UHF 800 PD measurement device and up to three OMICRON RBP1 external batteries or two PD measurement devices and two external batteries. 

Connections can be made easily from the MPC1 front panel to four PD sensors, such as coupling capacitors, high-frequency current transformers (HFCTs), bushing tap adapters, and ultra-high-frequency sensors. The MPC1 front panel also has ports for connecting it via fiber optic cable to the MCU2 master control unit and other MPC1 transport cases linked together with fiber optic cables in a daisy chain. If available, the PD measurement devices inside the MPC1 transport can also be connected via the front panel to the Mains (AC power).
