Our Terminal Box provides a safe, reliable, and convenient way to perform online partial discharge (PD) measurements as well as online temporary and permanent PD monitoring on rotating electrical machines, power cable joints and terminations, and other assets. It connects OMICRON PD measurement and monitoring devices with permanently installed PD sensors when these electrical assets are in operation. As a result, unnecessary downtime can be avoided, operator safety is ensured, and the asset can be evaluated under normal operating conditions.
Switch easily between PD testing and monitoring
The Terminal Box has an IP65 protection class to prevent moisture and dust ingress during outdoor operation. It is available with either 3-channel or 4-channel outputs to match your PD measurement and monitoring application. The plug-and-play operation enables you to easily switch from continuous PD monitoring to performing PD measurements for more detailed diagnosis.

Applications
- On-line PD measurements – Our MPD 800 PD measurement device can be connected to permanently installed PD sensors via the Terminal Box for periodic PD measurements and diagnosis when electrical equipment is in operation.
- Online temporary or permanent PD monitoring – Our MONTESTO 200, MONCABLO and MONGEMO PD monitoring systems can be connected to permanently installed PD sensors via the Terminal Box and left unattended for PD monitoring. Users can remotely connect to the monitoring systems anytime with the convenient web interface.
