Impedance measurement on high-voltage lines
Conventional calculations of line impedance values are highly error-prone. By combining the CPC 100 and CP CU1, you can perform extremely accurate measurements of the sequence impedances.
The compact, lightweight system can measure values at variable frequencies. Thus, the effects of power system frequency can be eliminated.
The data provided allows you to set the distance relays very precisely with impedance values and the calculated k-factor. To protect you and your equipment, the CP CU1 comes with the CP GB1 grounding unit. This unit can divert currents of up to 30 kA if its voltage limit value is exceeded due to unexpected induced potentials on adjacent lines.
