Fault Recording (GIS)

The GOOSE signals of an IEC 61850 controlled substation contain the trip commands and stamps for the time of opening of the main contacts. These time markers can be used to measure the opening time in the event of a fault. These real fault records are particularly valuable for later analysis, as they are neither generated in a targeted manner, nor are they repeatable.

Fault recording

Trigger conditions start the recording of conventional signals and network traffic. DANEO 400 works unattended and rearms itself to detect further fault occurrences.

Supervise whole systems

Distributed measurements can be performed with multiple time synchronized DANEO 400 devices. Thus, the exact relationship of the timing of the opening of the main contacts of several breakers within a protection system can be recorded during a real fault.

One single time reference

The time reference for measuring of conventional signals, such as voltages and currents, and GOOSE messages is the same and highly accurate and reliable – for one or for several distributed DANEO 400 units observing the main contacts of the breakers of your protection system.
