Rugged transport case for performing PD measurements outdoors or in harsh industrial environments.

OMICRON product manager for MPD partial discharge (PD) measurement technology, Ole Kessler, presents an easy solution for PD testing outdoors or in harsh, industrial environments with pre-wired OMICRON MPD 800 or UHF 800 PD measurement devices and external batteries for up to two days of continuous field testing.

The OMICRON MPC1 is a special protective transport case for PD testing applications on various electrical equipment. Its rugged design protects the PD measurement devices and external batteries contained inside the case from moisture, dust, and other harsh elements when performing PD testing outdoors or in industrial environments.

The MPC1 case can be configured with one PD measurement device and up to three external batteries or two PD measurement devices and two external batteries. Connections to AC power are also possible.

The MPC1 features easy front-panel connections to PD sensors, OMICRON’s MCU2 master control unit, and other MPC1 transport cases linked via a daisy chain with fiber optic cables.

MPC1 is an accessory for OMICRON’s MPD 800 and UHF 800 PD measurement devices.
