Meet the Dream Team from OMICRON for off-line insulation testing up to 15 kV at rated frequency on all types of motors and generators. This flexible and modular solution can be used for testing a number of electrical parameters, including insulation capacitance and dissipation/power factor, DC winding resistance, contact resistance and impedances. You can also use it for voltage withstand tests and as a high-voltage (HV) source for partial discharge measurements. The compact and lightweight solution replaces the need for large and heavy HV source equipment, and it is ideal for testing in small spaces.

The fourth OMICRON Power Utility Communication Tutorial & Workshop took place from April 9–11, 2019 at Burg Hemmersbach near Cologne in Germany and focused on the following topics:

Application and commissioning of IEC 61850 in automation, control and protection of electrical power systems.
Cyber security in Substation Automation Systems (SAS).

52 participants from 15 countries attended the focused tutorial presentations and the workshop to learn more about IEC 61850 communication, application and testing and practical cyber security measures for IEC 61850 station and process bus.

Many attendees also joined the optional IEC 61850 Warm-Up Training to familiarize themselves with the standard and technologies used, to be able to follow the tutorials and effectively use the workshop.
