The OMICRON Academy Houston simulates an indoor substation with a center piece of a 10 MVA transformer and circuit breakers on each side. A relay lab with prewired relays and an inventory of electro-mechanic and solid-state relays suits the individual training needs of the students. A recloser wall gives the ability to test individual reclosers as well as distribution automation schemes.

The first OMICRON Power Utility Communication Tutorial & Workshop took place from April 5–7, 2016 at charming Schloss Krickenbeck in Nettetal (near Dusseldorf), Germany.

52 participants from 17 countries attended the focused tutorials and the hands-on workshop to learn more about the technologies, get an overview of the products and solutions available and share experiences.
