Impressions of the second CEPED 2017 in Tehran

We are proud to celebrate completion of our second hugely successful Conference on Power Equipment Engineering Developments (CEPED), this time in Iran. The first event was held in Dubai in 2016 when it was intended that the high level promotion and event content would sow the seeds of a dedicated brand for this conference in the Middle East.

Organised in collaboration with Transformer Magazine, CEPED Iran took place on 8-9 August 2017 in Tehran with 100 participants. The conference program included in-depth technical discussions and presentations of real case studies related to Power Transformers, Instrument Transformers, Rotating Electric Machines, Gas Insulated Switchgear and Cables.

OMICRON experts were complemented by an impressive number of eminent external speakers, a key factor in the event’s success. Speakers delivering a unique range of topics included well-known experts from Nynas, ATEC, ITCE, University of Hannover, University of Leipzig, Energy Support and Behgam Farayand Novin (BFN).

Whilst participants were all from within Iran, CEPED 2017 certainly had an international flavour with contributors from OMICRON staff being Italian, British, Polish, Egyptian, German, Indian and Austrian. The experience for participants was enhanced through the use of instantaneous translation (from English to Farsi).

Additional conferences are planned in the Middle East region, further building on the reputation of the Dubai and Iran events.
