OMICRON Magazine

How will OMICRON and b2 customers benefit from the merger? Bernhard: No matter what sector they’re in, our customers will be supported by specialists. This is a decisive advantage. The products complement each other perfectly and we can expect to see some new ideas in the future here as well. stefan: There will naturally be an active exchange of knowledge, which will also benefit our customers. Both sets of sales staff and engineers are familiar with the other company’s activities. We also expect to learn from the established structures within OMICRON such as customer service and accelerated delivery times. And there are areas of high-voltage engineering apart from cables, where OMICRON, with its partial discharge measurement is very strong, e. g., generators and motors (rotating machines). There are certain to be a number of joint activities, e. g., we’re already carrying out joint measurements using the HVA-45 from b2 and the MPD 600 from OMICRON. That’s an appealing combination. Thank you for talking to us. Bernhard Baumgartner graduated from the polytechnical college for Electronics and Telecom- munications Technology in Rankweil, Austria.
