Martin Pfanner, the Product Manager for the Primary Test Manager™ software, shares his insights into the comfortable additional module PTM DataSync: More and more customers are using PTM Datasync – what kind of problems does PTM Datasync address and solve for them? Martin: PTM DataSync adds a server data- base to PTM. It allows data to be shared easily between multiple teams and backs up all the data safely. Is using PTM Datasync in a daily work routine easy? Do users need a training? We focused on making DataSync’s func- tionality as intuitive and easy to use as possible for the testers working with PTM. I would say that the training is done in less than 30 minutes. A user only has to do two things: First, they need to decide what data they want to have available and synchronized locally on a PC by subscribing to locations (substations). Secondly, they have to press the “Synchronize” button when they want to send new testing data to the server and/ or receive updated data from the server.
