When testing inductive assets, dangerously high levels of energy may still be present, which is why measuring the current flow after testing and before rewiring is essential. The CMC 500 and the CPX 200 have a specially designed safe return measurement function and a status light that indicates the output state, for this specific reason. Operational mode button Another effective safety function in the CMC 500 and the CPX 200 is the operational mode button that can switch specific signal outputs on or off when it’s turned on. This allows the outputs to be de-energized with the push of a button if necessary. This provides the advantage of not having to completely switch off the test set to modify the wiring. So, disconnecting and reconnecting the test set and testing software after switching off is no longer an issue. Interlock key The INTERLOCK key is a new safety function that is available with the CMC 500 and the CPX 200. Removing the key from the test set ensures it cannot be activated unintentionally or by any unauthorized personnel. This is a particularly important factor in situations where numerous people may be working on an installation. After reinserting the interlock key, the test set is immediately ready for operation, and work can resume without further delay. External emergency switching off button with safety light Available soon: The external emergency switching off button with a safety light for the CMC 500 and the CPX 200 provides additional safety. The external emergency switching off button can be positioned according to requirements and is easily accessible in the event of an emergency. It is clearly visible, and activating it is quick and easy. Therefore, test setups with multiple emergency switching off buttons in accordance with EN 50191 can also be implemented.
