Learn how to test basic relay protection and schemes with OMICRON Test Universe. This course covers voltage, frequency, and overcurrent protection in an environment for new or basic users of protection testing. Get familiar with the test procedure in hands-on and theoretical sessions. Work with test setups wired to mimic real-world conditions.

• Periodic commissioning, troubleshooting, and periodic tests of protection relays
• Testing overcurrent relays with OMICRON Test Universe
• Creating and modifying test plans and customized test reports
• Using OMICRON Test Universe from scratch
• Using the OMICRON Protection Testing Library (PTL)

• Quick current and voltage output for easy wiring checks
• Configuration of the Test Object parameters and the test hardware
• Creating test plans from scratch
• Creating a flexible test plan for voltage-based protection including testing pick-up values and trip times
• Hands-on testing of voltage and frequency elements in relays
• Creating test plans for overcurrent protection including testing pick-up values and trip times
• Hands-on testing of overcurrent relays
• Introduction to the OMICRON Protection Testing Library (PTL)
