Experts Behind the Scenes in Power System Testing │ Applications Engineer

Discover how applications engineers bridge knowledge gaps in power system testing.

Companies that provide users around the world with power system testing solutions encounter many regional and environmental differences in how tests are performed as well as varying levels of knowledge about available testing solutions to meet specific application needs.

That’s why application engineers, who have specialized testing and device knowledge, and who also speak the local language, are very valuable experts behind the scenes in these various regions.

Most often, application engineers are also excellent resources for optimizing testing devices by sharing their observations and experiences with development teams about how testing devices are used in the field.

In this episode we are joined by Mariana Felix de Souza who is an Applications Engineer for Latin America at the cable diagnostics solutions company B2 electronics

Mariana is responsible for providing B2 sales partners with technical support, assistance with field testing, and speaking about medium-voltage cable testing using B2 technology at conferences and exhibitions throughout Latin America, including in her native Brazil.

Mariana describes how her experience and responsibilities contribute to helping sales partners ensure the reliability of their customers’ cable systems in Latin America with B2 diagnostic solutions. She also offers advice to those who want to develop in her area of technical expertise, including how she stays up to date with the latest trends in cable testing and why interpersonal skills are so important in her job.
