EHB1 – Built for Testing Large Breakers

The EHB1 allows you to connect more than four EtherCAT-compliant devices to CIBANO 500. Depending on the necessary number of EtherCAT connections, multiple hubs can be connected in series. The EHB1 consists of one input and four outputs.

What does it do?
It enables the connection of up to four additional EtherCAT-compliant devices to CIBANO 500.

When is it required?
Additional EtherCAT-sockets are required for testing large circuit breakers.

Does the EHB1 require a power supply?

The EHB1 does require an external power supply. The supply is used to provide power-over-EtherCAT for connected devices (CB MC2, CB TN3, IOB1)
What is the maximum number of EtherCAT based accessories that can be added to the CIBANO 500 using multiple EHB1’s?

A maximum use case for EtherCAT-based accessories allows you to connect up to 3 CB TN3 modules, 3 IOB1 modules, and 15 CB MC2 modules. In this case, the default 10 Hz sample rate and recommended Primary Test Manager system setup must be used.
Does the EHB1 need to be calibrated?

No, the EHB1 does not need to be calibrated because it does not have a measuring function.
