Stator Core Measurement Upgrade Option
Detecting Stator Core Imperfections
The Stator Core Measurement Upgrade Option extends the CPC 100 to perform electromagnetic imperfection tests on rotating electrical machines. Using stator core low energy stray flux measurement (EL CID) lets you identify interlamination faults that can lead to overheating and damage. The system energizes the stator core at a low percentage (usually 4%) of the rated flux. It measures flux variations across its surface using a semi-automatic scan with a Chattock coil. This approach provides reliable insight into insulation integrity between the iron core’s laminations. Combining it with Primary Test Manager (PTM), it enables intuitive guided workflows and consistent result evaluation.
Benefits
Reliable Stator Condition Insight
Stator core faults are often not visible but can lead to serious damage during operation. This upgrade option enables structured fault detection using controlled excitation and precise stray flux measurement. The semi-automatic scanning process ensures repeatable coverage of the stator surface, while PTM software provides a real-time visualization and evaluation. This allows engineers to identify critical areas early and base maintenance decisions on measured data rather than assumptions.
