Functional CT Checks with the CMC 500
CMC CT-Check extends the versatile CMC 500 with automated basic checks of current transformers (CTs). It supports commissioning and maintenance tasks.
You perform the following commissioning-relevant checks:
- Voltage-based ratio
- Polarity check
- Winding resistance (temperature corrected)
- Knee-point voltage (Up to 2.5kV and according to IEC 61869-2)
- Operating burden
After testing, the CT is automatically demagnetized. This helps you quickly detect polarity, ratio, core connection, burden, or remanence issues.
