Universal partial discharge measurement and analysis system
Reliable PD testing on electrical equipment
Our MPD 800 universal partial discharge (PD) measurement and analysis system represents the next generation of our widely-used and innovative MPD PD testing technology. Enhanced and newly-added hardware and software features ensure highly-sensitive multi-channel PD measurements for reliable, industry-standard PD testing on a variety of electrical equipment and components. It accurately detects and localizes insulation defects and helps you to reliably assess the risk of equipment failure.
MPD 800 at a glance
The MPD 800 system features an adjustable PD frequency range of up to 35 MHz, a very fast 125 MS/s sampling rate, a PD localization time greater than 130 µs, and powerful digital PD filtering capabilities to provide you with outstanding PD measurement sensitivity. Advanced software-based filtering techniques, such as channel gating, 3PARD (3-Phase Amplitude Relation Diagram) and 3FREQ (3-Center Frequency Relation Diagram) ensure highly reliable PD analysis.
“Our MPD 800 PD testing system is truly universal, in that you can use it in both testing labs and in the field. It is the most complete, accurate, and flexible solution available for industry-standard PD testing on a variety of electrical equipment.”
- One PD testing system for all types of electrical equipment and components
- Robust and flexible for use in laboratories, testing bays and in the field
- Synchronous, multi-channel PD measurement and gating capabilities
- Selectable filters for IEC and IEEE standard-compliant PD testing
- Broad PD frequency range for optimal signal-to-noise ratio in noisy environments
- Advanced noise separation and PD source separation techniques for reliable analysis
- Multi-language PD testing software with configurable user interface for individualized PD testing and reporting
Customizable user profiles
You can easily define individual test specifications, including calibration and measurement settings, based on applicable international standards for specific types of PD tests and test objects, and save them as profiles for current and future use. In addition, you can decide which of the available PD measurement and analysis software features you need for a particular PD measurement, hiding those you do not need at any time for individualized PD testing and reporting.
Full compatibility for MPD 600 users
If you are already an MPD 600 user, the good news is that you can upgrade your existing MPD 600 software to the new MPD 800 software to take advantage of its new and enhanced features. You can also combine new MPD 800 PD measurement devices with your existing MPD 600 devices in the same PD test setup. With the MPD 800 software, you can simultaneously view and analyze the PD data from all connected devices.
