With the MBX platform and our software, you can test SCADA and substation automation systems (SAS) quickly, securely, and efficiently. Its mobile design allows you to perform quick assessments and temporary monitoring, for example during commissioning. At the same time, the powerful hardware delivers the performance needed to reliably simulate and analyze both the entire communication network and individual intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) in detail.
MBX supports a wide range of applications, including
- StationScout for testing and validating substation automation systems,
- IEDScout for analyzing and testing IEC 61850 devices,
- StationGuard for continuous monitoring and securing substation and power plant communication networks, and
- DANEO Control for network traffic analysis and troubleshooting of substation communication systems.

MBX features a cryptoprocessor, Secure and Measured Boot, as well as full-disk encryption. With secure production and development processes, the dedicated test set ensures the highest level of system security during testing. IEC 62443 certification is in progress.

A flexible and secure connection
Four SFP slots allow you to connect fiber and Ethernet ports securely to different network segments of your SAS. The control ports in the back reliably isolate your PCs from the system under test. Your computer doesn’t require administrator rights to set up IP addresses for an IED simulation.
The new DIN rail option makes it easy to mount the MBX2 in your panels for permanent installations. Both AC and DC power supplies are available.
