Optical scanning heads for meter testing
Scanning head for testing meters with rotating disc or optical pulse output
Optical scanning heads enable Closed-Loop testing to be performed on energy meters by counting the optical active and reactive energy pulses.
Different types are available for counting the optical LED pulses of digital meters or the rotor marks of electromechanical meters. They come in a set with the ASH1 scanning head adapter for connecting them to the test set’s binary input.
For greater efficiency, the test set can be connected to more than one scanning head, e.g., to count the active and reactive energy pulses during a meter test.
OSH 256
The OSH 256 is an optical scanning head used to detect the status of optical pulse LEDs in energy meters. It can be attached to smooth surfaces with a suction cup or a reusable adhesive rubber compound.
It is suitable for a wavelength range of 550 nm to 1000 nm.
SH 2015
The SH 2015 is an optical scanning head for detecting the status of optical pulse LEDs in energy meters. It provides a ring magnet for attaching the unit to the meter and is suitable for wavelengths between 610 nm and 1000 nm.
TK 326
The optical TK 326 scanning head is suitable for scanning the rotor marks of electromechanical meters. Additionally, it can be used to detect the status of optical pulse LEDs in a wavelength range of 450 nm to 950 nm.
ASH1
The ASH1 adapter is used to connect an optical scanning head to the test set’s binary input. It provides the power supply for the scanning head and ensures the necessary insulation for safe operation.
